Danae Papamattheou Matschke belongs to a new generation of promising Greek violinists, with appearances all over Europe and performances as a soloist with several important orchestras. In 2008 the Union of Greek Critics for Drama and Music awarded her for her appearances with the "Athens Camerata - The Friends of Music" orchestra.

For her recording Debut for Irida Classical, Danae P. Matschke collaborated with her father, pianist Uwe MatschkeDanae 2 and presents a cho

ice of repertoire which spans a wide period of music history - from the Baroque peridod with J. S. Bach's Sonata for Solo Violin in G Minor up until contemporary times with "Sprüche im Wind" by Dimitri Terzakis. The album also includes performances of Baal-Shem by Ernest Bloch and Sonata in A Major for Violin and Piano by César Franck.
Danae P. Matschke's performances on this album show that her awards and promising career are well deserved. Her renditions of the works are always true to the different periods the works were written in and are supported by her exquisite technique.
The contribution of Uwe Matschke to these recordings is also well worth mentioning, as he brings his experience of many years as a teacher, soloist, collaborator with important orchestras across Europe, member of several chamber music ensembles and a recording artist for E
MI, Virgin and the University of Macedonia press.
